A fuzzy plume of alpaca aloft a resplendent, shimmering core of silk, Pluma floats as if lifted by air. Named for the cozy down feathers it resembles, Pluma adds a beautiful, soft texture to any project. Pluma is a great substitute for mohair, but its so much softer that its hard to call it a substitute. Pluma holds its own in projects or looks great held together with another yarn to add a lovely halo effect. With an impressive 459 yards per 50 gram skein, holding a hank of Pluma feels like catching a cloud in your hand. When dyed, the color is most vibrant in the silk core, then fades to a gentler shade along the yarns soft edges.
